This plaque names individually those that served in World War II. Badin is a very small former industrial town. During this time period, it is likely that each resident knew most if not all of these service members. in the "V" of the intersection of Pine St and Fall Rd, the plaque sits beneath a United States Flag and a North Carolina Flag. Noticeable in the scrolls proclaiming "Honor Roll" is the "V" for Victory.
The plaque on the granite stone reads:
Honor Roll
In honor of the
Men and Women
of Badin,
North Carolina. who
served their country
in World War II and
in memory of those
who gave their lives.
