The Estádio do Dragão replaced the Estádio das Antas, the old home of FC Porto. After some discussion over the name, it was named after the dragons that are the club's image and city.
The first match played was against FC Barcelona in the opening date. FC Porto won 2-0 (goals from Derlei and Hugo Almeida).
It's the stadium of my team. I've seen many major european teams playing there, such as Barcelona, Man. United, O. Lyon, CSKA Moscow, Chelsea FC, Internazionale Milano, among others.
The opening night was one to remember forever!
My last game was FC Porto vs SL Benfica, on 28th/Oct/2006. FC Porto won 3-2 on a thrilling match!
