EN: "Kauernde (crouching woman)" is a bronze sculpture by Max Weber (1897-1982). It depicts a life-size naked female figure, which rests on a stone. The sculpture dates from 1948 and stands in the park in front of the cantonal school of Aarau, but not south of the Albert Einstein House as stated in the brochure "Art in public space" of the city of Aarau, but further to the west in front of the Karl-Moser House.
DE: "Kauernde" ist eine Bronzeskulptur von Max Weber (1897-1982). Sie zeigt eine lebensgrosse nackte Frauengestalt, die sich auf einem Stein aufstützt. Die Skulptur stammt aus dem Jahr 1948 und steht im Park vor der Kantonsschule von Aarau, allerdings nicht wie in der Broschüre "Kunst im öffentlichen Raum" der Stadt Aarau angegeben südlich des Albert-Einstein-Hauses, sondern weiter westlich vor dem Karl-Moser-Haus.
