Am Haus Rembrandtstraße 2 wurde eine metallene Gedenktafel mit folgender Inschrift befestigt:
In diesem Haus befanden sich in der NS-Zeit "Sammelwohnungen". In diese quartierte das nationalsozialistische Terror-Regime Personen zwangsweise ein. Oft lebten dann mehrere Familien auf engstem Raum zusammen und mussten sich Küche und Sanitärräume teilen.
An dieser Adresse verbrachten gesichert zumindest 33 Jüdinnen und Juden ihre letzte Lebenszeit in Wien, bevor sie zwischen Oktober 1941 und Oktober 1942 in die Konzentrationslager Auschwitz, Izbica, Litzmannstadt, Maly Trostinec und Theresienstadt deportiert wurden. Nur drei von ihnen überlebten.
