From the church remain the 15th century dormitory and gate. Four bays of nave were demolished at the end of the eighteenth century, the church was closed at that time by a wall-diaphragm.
The bedside is equipped with modern windows.
The portal opens on the Rue Famin, the chevet overlooks Place Sainte-Foy. The church is bordered by the Collin-d'Harleville street. Between the portal and the chevet is the Sainte-Foy garden.
The chapel outside the walls of the ditches Sainte-Foy frequented in the eleventh century by Fulbert de Chartres was enclosed in the twelfth century, at which time a parish was added.
In 1793, the Sainte-Foy church was sold as a national property to an architect to build a theater to replace the theater of the Place du Cygne. The first four bays of the nave were demolished and the headquarters, in which was an elliptical room with parquet floor, stage and boxes, was closed by a service building forming the facade of the theater. The theater operated between 1797 and 1806.
The service building was demolished in 1971, the Romanesque portal (12th century) which served as its entrance door was preserved and marks the end of the Sainte-Foy garden at the site of the nave .
The church is currently used as a sales hall.

De l'église subsistent le chevet daté du XVe siècle et le portail. Quatre travées de nef ont été démolies à la fin du XVIIIe siècle, l'église a été fermée à cette époque par un mur-diaphragme.
Le chevet est pourvu de verrières modernes.
Le portail ouvre sur la rue Famin, le chevet donne sur la place Sainte-Foy. L'église est longée par la rue Collin-d'Harleville. Entre le portail et le chevet se trouve le jardin Sainte-Foy.
La chapelle hors-les-murs des fossés Sainte-Foy fréquentée au XIe siècle par Fulbert de Chartres fut enclose au XIIe siècle, époque à laquelle lui fut adjointe une paroisse.
En 1793, l'église Sainte-Foy fut vendue comme bien national à un architecte pour y bâtir un théâtre en remplacement de la salle de spectacle de la place du Cygne. Les quatre premières travées de nef furent démolies et le chevet, dans lequel fut aménagée une salle elliptique avec parquet de bal, scène et loges, fut refermé par un bâtiment de service formant façade du théâtre. Le théâtre fonctionna entre 1797 et 1806.
Le bâtiment de service fut démoli en 1971, le portail roman (XIIe siècle) qui lui servait de porte d'entrée fut conservé et marque, depuis 1993 l'extrémité du jardin Sainte-Foy, qui est aménagé à l'emplacement de la nef.
L'église sert actuellement de salle des ventes.
