Chambord depended, before the 17th century, on the parish of Huisseau sur Cosson. We know that Francis I heard Mass in 1529 in the parish church of Huisseau ("Uxeau") which depended on the castle.
In 1666, Louis XIV put an end to this situation at the same time that he made complete the castle and erects the village of Chambord in parish. A modest church was built and enlarged in 1684.
This part of the 17th century includes the choir with flat bedside and chapels forming a transept. The nave and the facade with the bell tower, decorated with niches with shells, are added in 1855. The fonts, made up of a marble basin recovered from some fountain, are remarkable.
The belfry counted a single bell of 1778, which would come from the tower of the bells of the castle of Chambord. It was sold for the bronze price, in 1971, by the departmental service of the buildings of France to the company of bell founders Bollée of Saint-Jean-de-Braye, close to Orleans; the same year 1971 a copy was fused to the identical. The original 1778 bell was sold by Maître Savot to the Orléans sales gallery on April 4, 1996, to a private purchaser.

Chambord dépendait avant le XVIIe siècle de la paroisse de Huisseau sur Cosson. On sait ainsi que François Ier entendit la messe en 1529 en l'église paroissiale d'Huisseau ("Uxeau") dont dépendait le château.
En 1666, Louis XIV met fin à cette situation en même temps qu'il fait achever le château et érige le village de Chambord en paroisse. Une modeste église est construite, puis agrandie en 1684.
Cette partie du XVIIe comprend le choeur à chevet plat ainsi que les chapelles formant transept. La nef et la façade avec le clocher-porche, décoré de niches à coquilles, sont ajoutés en 1855. Les fonts, constitués d'une vasque en marbre récupérée de quelque fontaine, sont remarquables.
Le beffroi comptait une seule cloche de 1778, qui proviendrait de la tour des cloches du château de Chambord. Elle a été cédée pour le prix du bronze, en 1971, par le service départemental des bâtiments de France à l'entreprise de fondeurs de cloches Bollée de Saint-Jean-de-Braye, près d'Orléans ; la même année 1971 une copie a été fondue à l'identique. La cloche originelle de 1778 a été vendue par maître Savot à la galerie des ventes d'Orléans, le 4 avril 1996, à un acquéreur privé.
