Wynn was a community that once had a mine and coal works, some of the best untouched Coke and Coal History remains in the community of Wynn. Also at Wynn is the Company Store among a few other structures.
The memorial itself is a about 1/4 mile south of the turnoff for Wynn of State Route 857. It is a brick monument encased is a hand created roll call with the names of veterans from the former community who served their country in World War II.
