The studios for 25,000 watt station KAIR-FM are located at N 5th St and Kansas Avenue in downtown Atchison, in an incredibly ugly 1970s building with a horrible thatch of wood shingles covering what we presume is the entire windowless second floor.
The tower on top of the station sends studio programming to the transmitter site off 322nd Blvd northwest of Atchison for broadcast across the area.
The music is better than the visual of the studio - we appreciated the local weather forecasts and local flavor when we listened to this station while in Atchison KS. Listen here: (
