In New Shoreham, north of the center of the village of Old Harbor, is the offices for the Block Island Times, the weekly newspaper for the island.

The office is located on Ocean Avenue, near the northwest corner of Ocean Ave, Corn Neck Road, Dodge Street, and Old Town Road.

The office is in a small wood shingled building by a bank.

The Block Island Times publishes a weekly paper as well as tourist publications in the summer, such as Summer Times, Block Island Tourism Magazine, and Block Island Wedding Magazine.

There is a web presence, at Blockislandtimes.com .

The paper was started in 1970 as a summer only publication. In 1982, it started publishing on non-summer months and by 1988, it was weekly year-round. in 2016, the paper was sold to Central Connecticut Communications, thus, ending local ownership.
