While we were engaged since 1 year, I had to go to do my military service in the Caribbean, what luck for me, to make my army in the sun.
For six months I waited for Cathy to join me on this dream island.
The day after her arrival I told her that I had prepared everything for our wedding (she was not aware, it was a big surprise for her, she was not expecting it at all), and she said Yes.
We are married to the Mayor of Fort-de-France 41 years ago, and this year we made a trip back to this island for our anniversary.
Located in the town of Sainte-Anne (in Martinique) the beach of Salines is very popular with locals and tourists. According to a road count, this site would receive nearly 2 million visitors a year.
Located 5 kilometers south of the village, the beach stretches for over a kilometer. The wooded part of the site is part of the Domaniale forest of the Littoral, resulting from the fifty geometric steps. The width of this wooded area is 83 meters. In fact this part is managed by the National Forestry Office (ONF).
The beach is divided into three parts: the Grande Anse des Salines, the largest and best known part, the Petite Anse des Salines to the west and finally the Grande Terre des Salines to the east.

Le lendemain de son arrivée je lui ai annoncé que j'avais tout préparé pour notre mariage (elle n'était pas au courant, ce fût une grande surprise pour elle, elle ne s'y attendait pas du tout), et elle a dit oui.
Nous sommes mariés à la mairie de Fort-de-France il y a maintenant 41 ans, et cette année, nous avons fait un voyage de retour sur cette île pour notre anniversaire.
Située sur la commune de Sainte-Anne (en Martinique) la plage des Salines est très appréciée des habitants locaux et des touristes. D'après un comptage routier, ce site recevrait près de 2 millions de visiteurs par an.
Située à 5 kilomètres au sud du bourg, la plage s’étire sur plus d’un kilomètre. La partie boisée du site fait partie de la forêt Domaniale du Littoral, issue des cinquante pas géométrique. La largeur de cette zone boisée est de 83 mètres. De fait cette partie est gérée par l’Office national des forêts (ONF).
La plage se divise en trois parties: la Grande Anse des Salines, la partie la plus grande et la plus connue, la Petite Anse des Salines à l'ouest et enfin la Grande Terre des Salines à l'est.
