Gemeinsam mit den Kommunen integriert innogy damit Elektrofahrräder als Alternative zum PKW in den öffentlichen Alltag und den Radtourismus. „Mit der Mitarbeit am Aufbau eines flächendeckenden Ladenetzes möchten wir die Menschen in unserer Region für diese umwelt- und klimafreundliche Art der Fortbewegung begeistern“, so Michael Dötsch, Kommunalbetreuer und Leiter der Region Rauschermühle bei innogy. Stadtbürgermeisterin Claudia Schneider ergänzt: „Viele Radtouristen nutzen bei schönem Wetter unsere attraktive Ferien- und Urlaubsregion sowie die Rad- und Wanderwege. Ich freue mich, dass wir den Radsport- und Erlebnistourismus durch die neue innogy-Lademöglichkeit weiter fördern können.“ innogy hatte der Stadt Münstermaifeld bereits zwei E-Bikes im Rahmen eines Sponsorings zur Verfügung gestellt. Sie kommen bei Dienstfahrten der städtischen Mitarbeiter zum Einsatz.
Elektrofahrräder sind ein wichtiger Teil der Mobilität von heute und morgen. Rein äußerlich sind sie von einem normalen Fahrrad kaum zu unterscheiden. Erst der Akku, der hinzugeschaltet werden kann, verrät das Plus an Technik. Längere Touren und Steigungen werden so dank „eingebautem Rückenwind“ zum Kinderspiel."
