This asphalt-surfaced, shorter single-span reinforced concrete bridge, is just after you exit the Hume Highway onto Snow Road (C522), and immediately after the turn-off to the south of Greens Road. On the eastern end (northern side) is a small plaque for the identification of this particular bridge: SN 7611.
The embedded bronze plaque, on the western end of the bridge, is in a tapered concrete parapet, and reads:
ROAD CONSTRUCTION
AUTHORITY
1987
I wasn't familiar with the style of construction of this particular bridge and it seems that reinforced concrete has been formed insitu with SIXTEEN (presumably) hollow boxed concrete girders formed to span Fifteen Mile Creek, with concrete shelves supporting the girders, above large rocky abutments on either side. The 'W'-shaped Arma-guard railing is fitted into formed notches of the concrete parapets. Hollow, rectangular metal railing is bolted onto the side of the bridge.
The creek was flowing quite well.
