[EN] The clock is mounted on a tower 31 meters high in the historic center of Nîmes.
The present building was rebuilt from 1752 to 1754, in place of an older 15th century belfry. The summit terrace supports an elegant wrought iron campanile in the shape of a crown encircling the bell of the hours.
The clock is circular, the graduation is engraved in the rock. The numbers are Roman numerals.
[FR] L'horloge est montée sur une tour de 31 mètres de hauteur dans le centre historique de Nîmes.
L'édifice actuel fut reconstruit de 1752 à 1754, en lieu et place d'un beffroi plus ancien du XVe siècle. La terrasse sommitale supporte un élégant campanile en fer forgé en forme de couronne enserrant la cloche des heures.
L'horloge est circulaire, la graduation est gravée dans la roche. Les chiffres sont des chiffres romains.
