In front of the McCurtain County Courthouse, this monument honors those from Desert Shield and Desert Storm.

This is a polished black granite monument, resting on a rusticated horizontal granite slab. The monument is approximately seven feet high, and has an engraving of the shape of McCurtain County at the center with silhouettes of four servicemen and the words "GOD BLESS THE U.S.A.". A yellow ribbon is engraved across the County shape.

The inscription reads:

of the brave

Operation Desert

Each of you have exemplified courage, endured
