The McCurtain County Courthouse building is located at 108 N. Central in a building constructed in 1964. The flat-roofed building has a two-story section at the center, with one-story wings to either side. Ribbon windows are set high on the walls, with a distinctive horizontal flow.
This is the home for the McCurtain County offices, as well as the District Court. McCurtain County is named after the last chief of the Choctaw before Statehood in 1907, Green McCurtain. The County has a population of approximately 33,200 residents.
