There are dozens of rockets, missiles, missile launchers, and other aircraft on static display outside of the Main Exhibit Building at the US Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville, AL.

The waymarked Lance Missile and Launcher is located near the replica lunar crater.

An interpretive sign reads as follows:

"US ARMY LANCE

The Lance was a liquid propelled, surface to surface ballistic missile system that could be operated under any climatic conditions in which infantry, armored, mechanized, or airborne divisions were committed. The single stage missile used an advance guidance system that was invulnerable to all known electronic countermeasures.

Lance was the first Army missile to employ packaged and storable liquid propellants, providing maintainability comparable to solid propellant systems. It was later modified to fly as the upper stage of the Minuteman I missile in infrared tracking tactical experiments. The Lance had both conventional and nuclear capabilities.

U.S. Army no longer deploys the system.
