The Ely Renaissance Society Sculpture Park contains six sculptures and a labyrinth. The two large sculptures by Paul Hansen along the west side of the park were commissioned by the Society. Paul Hansen also donated three free standing sculptures in the park. The sixth sculpture on the south edge of the park was done Darl Clark and his grandson Nick Clark. The labyrinth was designed by Sarah Sweetwater.
The large sculpture standing against the building to the west represents ore tipples used to load ore from the mines in the county.
To the left, the tipples are joined by stylized mountains signifying the Basin and Range area surrounding Ely.
The sculpture to the south is indicative of the High Desert landscape flora and fauna.
Equisetlium Grandrose — Spent 105 mm, 75 mm, and 88 mm recoilless rifle shells were assembled to create the sculpture. It simulates a desert plant indigenous to this area.
Drill Steel — Components of discarde mining exploration drilling equipment make up this sculpture. The mining industry is paid tribute by this work.
Pagoda — This sculpture resembles an Oriental temple. It is made from scrap steel plates used in the manufacture of tracked vehicles. Homage is paid to the Oriental people who labored in this area.
