Did not find the numbered marker on the outside of the church building. In 1896, the large and current gothic sanctuary was begun. The first service was held on May 2, 1897.

Plaque on building: Religious services were begun as early as 1847, in the residence of Rev. Hampton McKinney. But the first written evidence of an organization is shown by recorded deed to the trustees of Corsicana Chapel, Sept. 15, 1851.
