The mural consists of five panels. The first panel shows modern men putting up rafters. One is pulling a section into place with a rope while four others are lifting/pushing. One man is kneeling ready to nail the rafter in place.
The second panel is from the horse and buggy days. A horse is hitched to a buggy with no one in the drivers seat. Behind the buggy is the lumberyard as it looked back then.
The third panel is the name of the business with a stack of lumber below it.
The fourth panel has a man sitting on the seat of a wagon with another standing next to the wagon. A sign for Pekin Wagons is behind the men on the side of a building.
The fifth panel shows a modern fork lift and an eighteen wheeler. A man is bringing lumber with the fork lift to another man who is loading the lumber into the truck.
