The Holdenville Post Office, located at 123 W. 7th Street, is a one-story symmetrical brick building with a basement. The entrance is reached by eleven stairs flanked by concrete sidewalls, which lead to a double-door entry with a fixed transom. Above this is a limestone frieze with a relief eagle and shield. Letters on the upper wall read "UNITED STATES POST OFFICE Holdenville, Oklahoma", above a concrete belt course. Windows are large and multi-paned, with white trim. The window unit to the left of the main entrance has been modified to become a doorway for the handicap ramp added later.
The entrance is quite elaborate. The doors are flanked by several tiers of brick, and to each outer side, wide limestone panels rise from porch level to the top of the windows.
Hidden behind the handicap ramp, a concrete cornerstone reads: "Henry Morgenthau, Jr. / Secretary of the Treasury / James A. Farley / Postmaster General / Schumacher & Winkler Architects / Louis A. Simon Supervising Architect / George O. Vonnerta Supervising Engineer / MCMXXXV"
