The Pyramid is built to cover the display of an extensive tree root 'sculpture' from a Messmate Gum in the Jack Ramsdell Gallery.

This pyramid is covered in wooden shingles, and is directly attached to the J.O. Ramsdell Gallery. It holds "Ra, The Sun God", a piece of natural sculpture, of the root system of a Messmate - Eucalyptus obliqua, that was retrieved from the local Toorloo Arm area.
"It grew in a metre depth of sandy loam on top of a limestone shelf. When the taproot failed to penetrate the limestone, the roots grew laterally. The first being the darkwood. In an effort to stablize itself, it grew a second growth which followed the original growth, this is the reddish wood which followed for further stability, the third growth followed for further stability, this is the yellowish wood.
