In Pekin, near the intersection of Elizabeth Street and S Capitol Street is the Arcade Building with distinctive frieze work around its entrance.
The building is on the north west corner of the building and faces the courthouse across the street.
the building is a wooden structure with the upper floor extending over the lower floor at the front. The entrance has a square area painted white, with dark green over some of the details. The details have 3 dimensions, especially the banners in the upper left and right corners that bear "A.D." and "1905." Also, the words, "Arcade Building," circle the entrance. An awning shelters the area in front of the door.
