Hier Le 1er mai 1863, une convention est signée entre le ministre secrétaire d'État au département de l'Agriculture, du Commerce et des Travaux publics et la Compagnie des chemins de fer de Paris à Lyon et à la Méditerranée pour la concession à titre éventuel de la ligne d'embranchement d'Apt à la ligne d'Avignon à Gap, passant par Cheval-Blanc et Pertuis, en suivant la vallée de la Durance.
La loi du 17 juillet 1879 inscrit la réalisation d'une ligne Volx à Apt, avec embranchement sur Forcalquier. La loi n°10.273 du 13 janvier 1881 déclare d'utilité publique la construction d'une ligne allant d'Apt à la ligne de Forcalquier à Volx.
La section entre Apt et Saint-Maime - Dauphin, est concédée à titre définitif à la compagnie du PLM par une convention signée entre le ministre des Travaux publics et la compagnie le 26 mai 1883. Cette convention est approuvée par une loi le 20 novembre suivant. La ligne et l'embranchement, tous deux à voie unique, sont mis en service le 25 octobre 1890. La ligne comporte quinze ouvrages d'art dans son trajet en Vaucluse, et dix-sept dans les Basses-Alpes.
L'ensemble est fermé au trafic voyageurs le 2 octobre 1938. La section de Cavaillon à Apt est "coordonnée", le reste de la ligne est progressivement déclassé et déposé.
La ligne est retranchée du réseau et déclassée.
Aujourd'hui La ligne ferroviaire a été reconvertie par endroits en véloroute (route dédiée aux vélos et rollers) et nous sommes à proximité immédiate de l'Euroveloroute 8
Nous sommes ici au lieu-dit "la Gare".
A moitié cachée dans la verdure, on note la présence d'un château d'eau assez caractéristique des réservoir d'eau utiles aux locomotives à vapeurs
Le lieu est aujourd'hui enfermé derrière la clôture du centre de Vacances de la SNCF (Société nationale des chemins de fer français).
Le lieu ressemble aux types de construction de ce type d'endroits : 2 bâtiments, dont un réservé aux voyageurs et l'autre aux marchandises avec un accès élevé (hauteur de wagon), ici aménagé avec des escaliers.

Yesterday On May 1, 1863, an agreement was signed between the Secretary of State for the Department of Agriculture, Trade and Public Works and the Compagnie des Railroads from Paris to Lyon and the Mediterranean for the concession, if any from the branch line of Apt to the line of Avignon to Gap, passing by Cheval-Blanc and Pertuis, following the valley of the Durance.
The law of July 17, 1879 enters the realization of a line Volx to Apt, with branch on Forcalquier. Law No. 10.273 of 13 January 1881 declares the construction of a line running from Apt to the Forcalquier-Volx line of public utility.
The section between Apt and Saint-Maime-Dauphin is granted to the PLM company definitively by an agreement signed by the Minister of Public Works and the company on May 26, 1883. The line includes fifteen structures in the Vaucluse and seventeen in the Basses-Alpes.
The whole is closed to passenger traffic on 2 October 1938. The section of Cavaillon to Apt is "coordinated", the rest of the line is gradually downgraded and deposited.
The line is subtracted from the network and decommissioned.
Today The railway line has been reconverted in places by bike (road dedicated to bicycles and rollers) and we are in the immediate vicinity of the Euroveloroute 8
We are here at the place "la Gare".
Half-hidden in the greenery, we note the presence of a water tower quite characteristic of the water tanks useful to steam locomotives
The place is now enclosed behind the closing of the Holiday Center of the SNCF (French National Railway Company).
The place resembles the type of construction of this type of places: 2 buildings, one reserved for travelers and the other to goods with high access (height of wagon), here arranged with stairs.
