Located on a triangular traffic island on the outskirts of Astley. It is in the form of a tall stone cross on a multi-layered square base. Panels on the base are inscribed with the names of the fallen in both World Wars.

Original dedication:-
To the glory of God and in grateful remembrance of the men of Astley who laid down their lives for us in the Great War

Supplemented by the details of five men and their regiments which are on the latest plaque (see pictures).
