The dedication plaque for the 1889 Georgia State Capitol Building stands inside the main entrance to the building on the first floor, just outside the large rotunda atrium.
The plaque reads as follows:
"This capitol, erected under act of the General Assembly, approved September 8, 1883, was completed in February 1889.
