The Carnegie Library in Ingersoll was built in 1910.

Prior to 1890, Ingersoll had two libraries. These merged, and the new library was located on King Street. In search of larger facilities, the library moved to Thames Street.

In 1909, the town council took advantage of a generous offer from the Carnegie Foundation. Construction began in the fall of 1909 and was completed in 1910. The library remained in operation until the fall of 2014, closing due to building condition issues.

There are currently restoration efforts underway, with the hope of renovation to usable condition. There is an informative article here:
