The exhibition rooms of the Geological-Palaeontological Museum of the University of Hamburg can be reached via an inconspicuous entrance to the cafeteria.
With its public exhibition, the Geological-Palaeontological Museum gives an insight into the important geological and palaeontological research collections of the University of Hamburg. The museum informs about the development of the earth and life. Saurian fossils can be admired here as well as amber insects and primate horses. Other exhibits are the geology in Hamburg's surroundings and famous fossil plants in Germany. Since 2014 the museum is part of the Center for Natural History. Educational programs can be booked through the University Museum Education.

Monday - Friday: 9am - 6pm
Saturday in the lecture period: 9am - 12pm
Closed on holidays
