A proximité du lac de Trépadone, en bordure de la route menant à
Méjannes, s'ouvre un aven qui a tout naturellement le nom du point d'eau.

"C'est par une entrée de doline de 1,5 m que l'on accède au fond du premier puits de 20 m. On se trouve alors dans une salle boueuse. Après un petit ressaut de 3 m, deux chemins sont possibles pour descendre : soit par un couloir incliné et un puits de 5 m, soit en équipant un puits de 10 m. Quelque soit le choix, il faudra encore descendre 5 m pour se trouver dans une salle au bout de laquelle une chatière donne sur un nouveau puits. Toutes les cheminées furent escaladées sans résultat. La descente continue 5 m de verticale puis 15 m par forte inclinaison. C'est par une étroiture verticale que l'on arrive dans la grande salle.
Un énorme bloc de 15m sur 8 environ se trouve au centre, ce qui permet d'accéder à une lucarne du plafond. Après un rétablissement le réseau oontinue sur la droite. Plus haut un étroit boyau fait le tour de la salle et débouche dans le puits d'arrivée.
Enfin, de la grande salle part un puits de 10 m trés érodé et arrosé."
