"The flame of memory revived at the memorial
Last Sunday at 11 am, in the presence of Henri Emmanuelli, Jean-Pierre Dufau, Renaud Lagrave and Bernard Subsol, Marc Bibes recalled that 12 years ago the 108 Landais memorial for France in North Africa was inaugurated in Pontonx.
"108 Landais who gave their lives. Under 20 who have never grown up ... "A Landes memorial that aims to preserve the memory and to inspire reflection for future generations.
In front of a curtain of hundreds of tricolor flags, the elected officials accompanied by Marc Bibes and Christian Brethes revived the flame before a deposit of moving sheaves."
