The 'You Are Here' sign has a map with Touist information and information about services available and safety on the beach. The location of the sign is represented on the map by a red circle. This is shown in the key underneath the map.
It also had a wind toy attached to the side of the notice board.
Playa de las Cucharas.
Cucharas Beach is the main beach in Costa Teguise. (marked with the Blue Flag by the European Union). It offers an extension of 500m of brownish sand and quiet waters. The beach is surrounded by a nice promenade along the sea with restaurants, coffee bars and shops.
'Cucharas Beach is often windy and appreciated by windsurfing enthusiasts and surfers who visit it. This is a recommended beach for families and youngsters, for them it will be a lot of fun because here you find waves. For families with young children we recommend this beach in front of the Hotel Melia Salinas, this area is safer because it has smaller waves.'
