A pair of anchors, which are characterized by having a crooked stock, are known as jas anchors in French. The pair of anchors are arranged inside a river-stone paved oval surrounded by geraniums. The anchors are displayed to welcome visitors to the Port of Fontvieille. The anchors date from the end of the 19th century.
