This old reaping machine can be found as part of a trail at Crombie Country Park in the Angus countryside.
The first reaping machine was invented by Patrick Bell from the nearby parish of Carmyllie in 1827. It was the forerunner of what would become the combine harvester and cut one acre per hour.
This particular model lies next to the Guildymuir Pendicle, a smallholding, which still stands, as part of the Discovery Trail in the park. Also known as Hairy Nicol's Cottage, an information marker nearby tells the history of the area.
