Vineyard Library and Administration building is a one-story red brick building with a flat roof. It is a simple design with few embellishments. The entrance, located in the corner of the L-shaped facade is covered with a curved metal canopy. Along the front wall of the building, the windows are recessed beneath a deep covered walkway supported by large brick columns. An extension that projects on the north side has ground-to-roof panels over the windows, inset with masonry geometric blocks.
On the northwest corner of this extension is a two-sided granite cornerstone which reads:
(1) The M.W. Grand Lodge /(square and compasses emblem)/ Homer E. Barkley Grand Master / Sept. 22, 1962 A.L. 5962
(2) The Past is Prologue / The Present is a Challenge / The Future can be Glorious / Dr. V. R. Easterling / A.D. 1962
In front of the library is a sculptor of a woman sitting reading, entitled The Scholar.
