Cowley Cemetery is mostly surrounded by farmland and is less than a km from the high school. It is east of town on County Lane 8 1/2.

This small community cemetery is about 5 acres is size and has white fencing around the perimeter. There is a nice arched entrance sign and a directory to the left. There are eight sections divided by roadways with many very large trees along their borders.
Cowley Cemetery is located in Big Horn County and is a small community with a population of 655 residents. It was settled by a group of Mormon pioneers called to settle the Wyoming's Big Horn Basin.
The cemetery is well maintained with approximately 1.100 interments and is still active. There are two known interments that took place in the year 1900 with three known that took place in 2017.
