Der Orgelbauer Johannes Müller aus Viersen vergrößerte 1856/60 das neue Hauptwerk noch um ein selbständiges Pedalwerk, so dass jetzt 27 Register zur Verfügung standen. Sie bekam eine romantische Stimmung. Durch den Bombenluftdruck hatte die Orgel im Zweiten Weltkrieg sehr gelitten, ebenso durch ein Erdbeben 1951. Im Zuge der Gewölbestabilisierung im Mittelschiff nahm 1953/54 der Göttinger Orgelbauer Paul Ott eine gründliche Renovierung vor und gab ihr wieder die barocke Stimmung.
