Local Starbucks is trying to get a liquor license.

"A city Starbucks might soon sell beer and wine as part of a movement to turn some of the company’s coffeehouses into evening hangout spots.

As part of the Starbucks Evenings campaign, some of the shops have started selling beer and wine as part of its evening menu, which also includes craft sodas and dinner items.

Starbucks, located at 1690 S. Pleasant Valley Road, has a pending request for a liquor license, according to the Virginia Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) website." (visit link)
