On the Rhine shore of Unkel grows a gigantic canadian poplar and is the by far biggest tree within sight.
The immense poplar stands in the Rhine promenade on height of the stream kilometre 637.1. From 4.0m hight the first strong branch begins, from 6.0m the tree becomes 2 born. The 27-m-wide crown is protected with several crown protections.
The mighty trunk has an extent of more than 7 metres.
