Forest Falls is located within a steep section of Fall Creek Gorge within the Cornell University Natural Area. It can best be viewed by looking upstream from the Stewart Avenue Bridge that spans the gorge.

Forest Falls is a 45' high and 70' wide, rock-framed cascading waterfall just upstream of the Stewart Avenue Bridge. It is part of a series of waterfalls along Falls Creek in that flows through Fall Creek Gorge, a hanging valley created in the last Ice Age by the glacier that created Lake Cayuga.
