The bricked stele is located on the forecourt of the stadium since 2010 and reminds of the fallen members of Holstein Kiel during WWI and WWII.
The memorial has been financed by donations and stood in the northern part of the stadium since 1955. After the renovation in 2006, the stele wasn't located representatively anymore and was repositioned in 2010 in front of the stadium to commemorate worthily the dead.
