Bay Window Caboose sits at the Chester Depot in Vermont. It is owned by the Green Mountain Railroad.
This car was one of twenty class NE1 cabooses the Bessemer & Lake Erie (B&LE) acquired from Greenville Steel Car Company in 1941. These cars were Bessemer's first bay window design and all steel cabooses. In the 1970s these were retires as B&LE brought in the new class NE4 and NE5 cars into service.
Current Use: The caboose is on permanent display at Chester Depot as part of station.
