We came across few sundials while touring Sicily. This simple sundial was a significant point of interest. It shows Italian hours that start and end at sunset. Hence the hour lines from 18 to 24. The symbols for Capricorn and Cancer show the seasonal change in declination and dates. The script was "Line A S Vinc Ferreri". We had to leave just as the sun was coming onto the dial so we did not see the shadow from the gnomon.
Sundial Type: Vertical - Wall mounted dial plate
