The water tower, which is almost 40 meters high, and which until the end has supplied the water for the extinguishing towers of the coke oven batteries, is one of the landmarks of Alsdorf. The onset Intze container holds 300 cubic meters of water. The tower shaft, which consists of two-layered masonry, is divided by four intermediate ceilings. At the same time, the top level forms the support for the water tank. Between this and the third level is a cavity of over 20 meters in height. Parts of the old pumping station are still preserved. No new use has yet been found for the listed building.
