This impressive fountain is located next to the Alstertal shopping center in the Poppenbüttel district of Hamburg.
The fountain has 10 jets and is dominated by an 8 meter high bronze sculpture group.
The group represents a family consisting of father, mother and son and is the largest bronze sculpture in Hamburg.
The sculpture group was created in 2006 by the Canadian sculptor Hans-Peter Conen - artist name Zyot - and the title of the fountain - Mimir-Brunnen - comes from the nordic mythology and is a symbol of wisdom.
