A large wood carving of Smokey Bear stands on a circular wooden base underneath its own shelter. The bare-chested (pun intended) Smokey is wearing the traditional pointed and brimmed hat and a pair of blue trousers. SMOKEY is inscribed on both his hat and belt buckle. Smokey is holding a real spade in his right hand. The base is inscribed: M. BLAINE 12.
