Plaque Text:
Bedichek Academy Bell
Presented to First Baptist Church
Eddy, TX
by Prof. J.M. Bedichek
1912

The Bedichek Academy first opened in 1884. It was known as the Eddy Literary and Scientific Institute. I assume it closed in 1912 and the bell was donated to the church.

It has C.S. Bell Co (30) Hillsboro O on the top which tells us it is a cast iron bell made by Charles Singleton Bell or the company which he began in Hillsboro, Ohio.
