Built in 1775, this Federal style structure was a very active social center as a tavern. The building is a wood square structure with a monitor roof, but around a huge center chimney. It was a popular tavern with a large ball room on the upper. The house became a boarding house for the Monson Woolen Co. in the late 19th century. The building was restored as a private residence in the 1970's
