The bridge also known as Lodge Lane Bridge and as its name suggests carries minor road Lodge Lane over the canal.

Like most of the bridges along this stretch of the canal the sides are painted white. However the sides of the bridge above the arch have been rebuilt at some point and these modern brick have remained unpainted.

The sides of the bridge on the towpath had a wooden or in some cases metal insert to protect the bridge from damage from the tow ropes used by the horses to tow boats on the canal. On this bridge the protector is missing but the niche where it would have been inserted is still visible.

Close to the bridge is a store of stop planks. These are used to block off the canal when it needs to be drained for maintenance. Bridges and locks are often the sites for such planks because the canal is at its narrowest at these points.
