Die 2,50 m hohe Skulptur aus Edelstahl wurde auf Initiative des Frauennetzwerks für Frieden e.V. Bonn nach einem Entwurf von Sirpa Masalin zur Ehrung Bertha von Suttners am Bertha-von-Suttner-Platz aufgestellt. Der Verein finanzierte die Skulptur durch Spendensammlungen und übergab sie im September 2013 feierlich der Stadt Bonn.
The 2.50 m high sculpture made out of stainless steel was placed on the initiative of the Women's Network for Peace e.V. Bonn on the basis of a draft by Sirpa Masalin for the honor of Bertha von Suttner at Bertha-von-Suttner-Platz. The association financed the sculpture through donations and donated it in September 2013 solemnly to the city of Bonn.
