Der „Jahrhundertschritt“ von Wolfgang Mattheuer ist eine Skulptur aus dem Jahr 1984. Von ihr existieren vier Bronzeabgüsse und zwei Eisenabgüsse. Einer der Eisenabgüsse ist die Skulptur vor dem Haus der Geschichte. Die Plastik wurde dort 1994 installiert. Das Werk ist der Epoche des kritischen Realismus zuzuordnen.

The "Century Step" by Wolfgang Mattheuer is a sculpture from the year 1984. There are four bronze casts of the sculpture and two iron casts. One of the iron casts is the one in front of the House of History. The plastic was installed there in 1994. The work is attributed to the epoch of critical realism.
