When the Six Flags Entertainment Corporation acquired Riverside Park in Agawam, MA and converted it into a Six Flags park they did not need to stretch their imaginations to make the six flags connection. There were already six New England states, each with their own flag.
The Six Flags New England entrance plaza has an array of six flagpoles each flying the flag of a New England State. From front to back in the default photo they are:

Connecticut
New Hampshire
Maine
Vermont
Rhode Island
